I am a self employed maker / designer, who works in; all hardwoods, most metals and many other materials in both residential and contract / commercial markets, in furniture, art, and architectural accessories; from design through to fabrication. Custom 3 leg console curves to conform to the backs of mirror image sofas. Turned legs transition to square at top with mitered sub-apron creates a dramatic curvilinear flow, finished with bullnose top and bottom edge treatment.

End matched water oak (in the red family off the TX coast w salt water mineral deposits) slab tops w/ curly maple bowties filled w/ seven gallons of epoxy. Base fabricated w I beam columns + channel top & btm supports and mild steel angle.

Where do you spend most of your time? I build small to large art edifices on a reduced scale to match your budget and taste with a variety of materials and techniques at my disposal. Once a project is decided upon, we wlll build a program and examine possibilities through multiple designs and finally refine it into a custom finished piece of furniture that will be a modern day heirloom.

The Hillwood Companies / ATX / Hillwood Air - repair of the bronze maquette commemorating the loss of the 19 members of the Granite Mountain Hotshots in 2013. Work included bead blasting patination back to bronze, TIG brazing & chasing w/ re-patina + wax to match existing.

Refurbishment of loose and broken double doweled glue joints by means of waxing joint to make glue resist, followed by epoxy injection & clamp-up. Custom fabbed in-house steel corner brackets w/ hanger bolts and compression nuts to add rigidity where typical wood corner blocks would not fit due to curvature of front & bk rails.
Bandsaw table set on angle with curve cauls to support cutting of curved top to produce knife edge. Beats climb cutting w router on tear-out prone figured wood.
Getting the final twist to desired outcome by unconventionally using Diacro #3 bender on side w rosebud torch persuader to mimic twist bit helical table base for Brian O’Neill’s meeting table
